Dory and Geoff look forward to welcoming you to our holiday accommodation near Pamiers in the Midi-Pyrenees region of France.
Laytoure is an Ariegeois farmhouse dating from 1736, in a peaceful countryside setting with views of rolling hills and glimpses of the Pyrenees. We offer you three options:
you can book one of three comfortable bedrooms with breakfast
for larger groups you can rent the whole property, which sleeps up to 6 adults and 3 children, on a self-catering basis
in addition we have a separate two-person self-catering apartment.
Situated only 8 kms from the town of Pamiers, which offers shops, markets, restaurants and all facilities, Laytoure is on the edge of the small village of St Victor Rouzaud. We are about an hour's drive from both Toulouse and Carcassonne airports. Our central location makes Laytoure the perfect starting point for exploring the relatively undiscovered Ariege department. We are close to many places of interest such as Cathar castles, prehistoric sites, caves, lakes and mountains. There are daily markets in the neighbouring towns and villages and the area is authentically French. It's a great base of cycling, walking and bird watching. The Chemin de St Jacques de Compostelle pilgrim route passes through our village, and the Tour de France regularly passes close by.
Guests are welcome to use the gardens, outdoor furniture, loungers, barbecue and plunge pool (4.5m dia. x 1.2 m depth). Wi-Fi is available throughout the accommodation.
Please note pets are not allowed.
We moved to the Ariege in 2013 to 'retire.' We live on site and will be happy to answer any queries and do whatever we can to help make your holiday the best it can be. We aim to be flexible so please contact us to discuss your holiday plans at [email protected]
